Dr. Ir. Mohd. Tabie Yusof was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of JPZ Construction and Engineering Sdn. Bhd. in November 2020. He holds a Degree in Civil Engineering from UiTM Shah Alam in 1990. He went to do his postgraduate studies at same university and obtained his Master of Science in Project Management in 2009. He continue his studies in Universiti Putra Malaysia and obtained his Doctor of Engineering in Project Management in 2016.

 

Over 3 decades' extensive experience in overseeing full spectrum management of largescale property development, construction and renewable energy projects towards driving revenue as well as profitability growth. Well versed in the areas of strategic planning, cost and budget control as well as quality assurance coupled with an unblemished record of in delivering mission-critical projects within set timeframes and budget. Recognized as a charismatic and innovative organizational leader with vast international experience including Middle East, Pakistan and East Asia region.

Oversee full spectrum business operations and project management in planning as well as completing an array of projects in line with set time frames and profitability targets. Manage project planning, predevelopment, feasibility study, budgeting and costing as well as implementation and rollout.

 

Key Projects Delivered Renewable Energy Projects

• Proposed Implementation of Integrated Hybrid Solar Photovoltaic and Operation and Maintenance of Diesel Genset to 369 Rural School at Sarawak, Malaysia.

• Proposed, construct and commissioning of:

  • 48kWp Solar PV to 4400 mosques under Feed in Tariff (FiT) Community.

  • 1MWp Solar Farm at Sabak Bernam, Selangor.

  • 24 MWp Solar Farm at Besut, Terengganu.

  • 6.5MW Mini Hydro at Kuala Betis, Gua Musang Kelantan.

  • 32MWp Solar Farm at Dharmapasha, Bangladesh.

  • 3.5 MW Mini Hydro at Sg Suih, Jeli Kelantan

  • 50MW windmill farm at Kettibandar, Karachi, Pakistan

Hospital and Public Amenities Projects

• Proposed and development of 400 beds teaching hospital and facilities for Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia.

• Proposed and development of 5,000 students accommodation facilities for Universiti Terengganu Malaysia and Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (Unisza) Terengganu.

• Cadangan meroboh sebahagian struktur dan membina satu blok tambahan 3 tingkat Gamma Knife Centre, Pusat Perubatan Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (PPUKM), Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.

• Proposed, construct and handing over:

  • 3 tower office blocks (9 – 12 storey) at Persada Awqaf Development Precint 3 Putrajaya for Awqaf Holdings Bhd.

  • 24 units double link houses at Kg Abu Bakar Baginda for Al Ameen Development Sdn. Bhd.

  • 102 Unit 3 Storeys Hyper Link Terrace at Precint 14, Putrajaya, Malaysia for Putrajaya Holdings Sdn. Bhd.

  • 327 units 2 storey terrace house at Simpang Pulai Perak for Perbadanan PR1MA.

  •  888 units house at Mukim Che Latiff, Pengkalan Chepa Kelantan for Perbadanan PR1MA.

  • 287 units apartment at Jalan Kubang Kerian, Kota Bharu Kelantan for Perumahan Penjawat Awam Malaysia.

  •  227 units apartment at Wakaf Che Yeh, Kota Bharu Kelantan for Perumahan Penjawat Awam Malaysia.

EARLY CAREER HISTORY

Appointed as Senior Project Manager at KLCC Projeks Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned by KLCC Group of Companies and wholly owned by Petronas Berhad. Spearheaded a cross-functional team of Project Managers, Construction Managers, Project Engineers, Project Executives and Supervisors in expediting full spectrum project management for the residential and infrastructure packages towards achieving delivery and profitability milestones. He also oversaw end to end project planning, scheduling and infrastructure coordination for an array of development projects.

• Led the planning and scheduling of the US$150- Billion Jabal Omar Development Project in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

• Oversaw the excellent delivery of project management services for the AED22Billion Najmat Abu Dhabi Development in Al-Reem Island, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirate.

• Lead the planning department of proposed development of Burj Al Kalifa, Dubai, United Arab Emirate

• Overall project coordination for Putrajaya Developments.

• Promenade & Waterfront Development at Precinct 2, 3, 4, 5 and 18 for Putrajaya Development.

• Equestrian Park, Putrajaya Development.

• Desilting Works at Upper Bisa, Putrajaya Development.

• Government Quarters Development, Putrajaya (RM3.3 Billion Contract Value).

• Construction of District Cooling Centre Phase 1. (RM140million)

• Construction of Public Utilities Building and Communication Centre. (RM115million)

• Construction of External Chilled Water Distribution Loop. (RM24million)

• Construction and completion of Prime Minister Office (Parcel A) for PutrajayaDevelopment. (RM350million)

 

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

• Played a key role in conducting thorough review of technical drawings and project execution methods to successfully reduce on site execution time frame from 1160 days to 840 days leading to 25% increase in profit margins.

• Took the challenge in renegotiating with suppliers on raw material costs to improve overall project margins by 45%.

• Instrumental in delivering savings of RM115 million through comprehensive identification, evaluation and selection of subcontractors.
